Ghei Renovation

St. Paul, MN

Once a dark and cluttered portion of this family-owned (and treasured) 1920’s craftsman bungalow, a back hallway morphed into an addition + renovation which provides needed space and natural light. An existing kitchen wall was moved slightly out to the side yard, elongating the back entryway. Single light windows sashes above the interior kitchen wall lend light to a central hallway. A railing fabricated in perforated steel (for thinness and transparency) leads to the basement adding visual interest and safety. Built in storage helps to organize and open the space.
