Set on the Prairie, the Klocker House doubles as a home office for the active homeowners. Inspired by pole barns, this 2300 SF open SIP structure is was prefabricated and very energy capable. Quirky and personal, it embraces farm iconography: an office nook has a peek-a-boo window, a floating loft space hangs in the living area, the stair is lasercut steel.

The facades opposing sides are painted black or silver to emphasize the planar aspect of the building. An abstracted barn door serves as the entry and as a connection to the past.
