A mid-20th century modern to early-21st century contemporary renovation helped a family feel more connected to each other, and to nature. The floor plan was opened up, and the interior palette was simplified, completing the modern aesthetic by merging dark grey hot rolled steel, textural light gray flannel, and a white-on-white kitchen.
