This house hybrid created a new typology that leveraged SIP panelized delivery. (SIP=structurally insulated panels.) It combines barn and bungalow—expansion attic—space to create a highly flexible yet accessible home.
A near-Passive House, the shell is both modern and traditional, and contains few, but ample openings. The interior is sheathed in plywood, and can be expanded by programming the loft area, located behind and above the kitchen, with sleeping, work, or flex spaces.
