Sebastopol lightHouse

Big house in a Small Package  The beta Sebastopol lightHouse, built at Plant Prefab, provides full use accommodation before becoming a guest house for a (larger) weeHouse to be built on the same lot. This carefully crafted house embraces the luxury of less and is big enough to be spacious inside while leaving a spacious yard outside, too.

Oxidized steel exterior jewelry accessorizes the exterior entry step, door plate, and lightHouse Beacon.

The simple but elegant kitchen has a solid white oak shelf, and a bench with movable backs converts to sleeping space.

A minimalist bathroom/storage core contains all of the utilities, a washer/dryer, and a full sprinkler system. The fully-tiled bath has a zero-threshold shower, frameless glass panels, and a touchless faucet on an enameled Dornbracht Alape sink.

Delivered as a complete prefabricated module, the envelope is very low energy, with exterior insulation and a sustainable cedar rain screen Barn Siding skin.

For more information on the lightHouse system, see Alchemy’s brochure.

lightHouses are delivered in a fast, efficient way via factory, panelized, or on-site build partners. They are a predesigned solution for replacement housing, cabins, or guest houses, used for short-term rentals, home offices, or age-in-place dwelling.

The lightHouse system complies with most city or county accessory dwelling unit (ADU) guidelines. lightHouse ADUs are secondary structures for lots with a primary dwelling (either existing or to-be-built). They are placed on permanent full, perimeter, or slab foundations. They can also be built atop a new garage or storage structure.
